The widely used size for an X (Twitter) header image is 1500 x 500 pixels, a 3:1 ratio. Platform sizes change from time to time, so check the current guidance if your upload looks off.
Resize your banner
- Open PixelPerfect Image Resizer.
- Upload your image.
- Enter 1500 for width and 500 for height.
- Download as JPG or PNG.
Design tips
- Keep important text and faces near the centre. Edges are cropped on small screens and your profile picture overlaps the bottom left.
- Use a wide original image. Stretching a square photo will distort it.
- Use PNG for graphics with text, and JPG for photos.
