Bank recruitment forms ask for four separate images, and each one has its own pixel size and KB window. Uploading the wrong one is the most common reason the form will not move forward.

These are the figures reported from the 2026 IBPS PO and SBI PO notifications, all in JPG/JPEG. Boards can change them, so compare with the notice for the exam you are applying to.
How to fit each file
- Open the page for your exam: IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI PO or SBI Clerk.
- Pick the tab for the image you are preparing.
- Upload your picture, adjust the crop, and click Make it fit.
- Download the JPEG and upload it to the portal without re-saving it elsewhere.
Common mistakes
- Signing on coloured or lined paper. Use plain white paper and a dark pen.
- Typing the declaration. It has to be in your own handwriting.
- Using a screenshot or a chat-app copy of the photo. Start from the original camera file.

Preparing each image properly
Photograph (200 x 230). The ratio is close to 7:8, so a normal landscape phone photo has to be cropped, not squeezed. Stand in front of a plain light wall, keep your face centred and sit with your shoulders square to the camera. Use daylight from a window in front of you, because a light from the side leaves half the face in shadow, and shadows turn into dark blocks when the picture is compressed to 20 to 50 KB.
Signature (140 x 60). This is a wide, short rectangle, about 7:3. Sign with a black or dark blue pen on plain white paper and leave only a small margin. A signature that fills a quarter of a big photo becomes a few thin lines once it is shrunk. Crop tightly first, then resize.
Left thumb impression (240 x 240). Press your left thumb on an ink pad, roll it lightly and press it once on white paper. Photograph it straight from above, crop to a square around the print and resize. A smudged print can be rejected on review even when the file size is correct.
Handwritten declaration (800 x 400). The shape is 2:1 landscape. Write the declaration text on white paper in your own handwriting, photograph it flat so the lines are straight, and crop to a wide rectangle before you resize. Typed text is not accepted.
Why the KB window is hard to hit by hand
JPEG file size depends on picture detail and on a quality setting. A photo with a busy background can be 80 KB at the right pixel size, while a signature on clean white paper may be only 6 KB. Both fail the window. The resizer on each exam page picks the quality that fits the maximum and, if the file is still under the minimum, pads it, so you do not have to guess.
Frequently asked questions
Do IBPS and SBI use the same sizes?
The 2026 notices reported for IBPS PO and SBI PO list the same four images and sizes. Other recruitments from the same bodies often follow the same pattern, but always check the notification for your exam.
Can I upload a PNG?
Use JPG or JPEG. The tool on this site exports JPEG for every upload type.
What if the portal shows a different size from this table?
Follow the portal. Boards sometimes revise numbers between the notification and the form, and the number shown on the live form is the one that is checked.
Is my photo sent to your server?
No. Cropping and compression happen in your browser.
